I was born and raised in Philadelphia. I am a 1985 graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls, a 1989 graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and a 2003 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law. After law school I was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable James Cavanaugh of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania where I researched and analyzed criminal and family law appeals. For four years, I was Assistant Counsel with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services where I litigated child abuse appeals, day care licensing matters and civil commitment hearings at Norristown State Hospital. Currently, I'm Assistant Chief Counsel with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission where I am responsible for a wide range of regional counsel activity, which includes responding to Rule to Show Cause matters, drafting replies to preliminary hearing requests and representing the Commission at public hearings.
