Since 2008, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Development Institute (MLK-LDI) was formed at the urging of, and under the auspices of the Interdenominational Ministers Conference of Greater Harrisburg with the initial intent of establishing a forum for training and equipping young minority professionals to ascend to positions of leadership. However, since the inaugural 2009 Class, the Institute has attracted participants of varying race, ethnicity and religious beliefs in keeping with Dr. King’s concept of the Beloved Community. Now an independent 501 (c)(3) non-profit, the Institute provides personal and professional development training for all leaders committed to serving their community. Our most recent cohort graduated on June 23, 2024, at the Rose Lehrman Art Center on the Campus of HACC. Photos of the graduation event can be viewed here.
