David Thomsen

David Thomsen grew up in Dallas, TX but has lived all over the country including Washington, DC, Austin, TX, the northwest Chicagoland area, Hershey Pennsylvania, and now, the Philadelphia suburbs. He earned his undergraduate degree in Government & Politics and History from the University of Maryland and his Master’s in Public Policy at Georgetown University. David is passionate about using public policy to improve access to health coverage so that children and families can live healthy and thrive, and has spent his career working on health equity, immigration, and environmental justice issues. David is currently the Director of Policy at Pennie, Pennsylvania’s health insurance marketplace where he works to help provide Pennsylvanians with access to quality health insurance coverage. He is a big Dallas and University of Maryland sports fan, and loves playing and listening to classic rock and the blues.
